After a few dormant years of working from home, some of us are returning to the office. Of course, this means our daily outfits will call a bit more forethought – the business casual dress code in most offices doesn’t yet include our well loved work-from-home pieces like leggings, hoodies, and sneakers. Luckily, it’s fall in Canada and an excellent time to dive back into fashion and take note of current trends as temperatures dip. Here are three looks featuring the GTL trousers.
With a few small adjustments, these outfits work just as well for the office as they do for the weekend.
(1) Pants and blazer
Pair the GTL pants with an oversized blazer. For the office, a solid coloured body suit underneath and some black mules will keep the look sleek. This look just as easily transfers to the weekend: swap the body suit for a white tee or a crop top and accessorize with white sneakers and a ball cap and you’re set.
(2) Pants and chunky knit sweater
Take it from us, the temperature at the offices is always cold! Keep warm with a chunky knit sweater. Choose a style that complements the cut of your trousers – a tight and slightly cropped sweater will complement a relaxed, high rise trouser and will ensure the outfit is visually balanced. This outfit can easily be completed with a leather jacket on the weekends.
(3) Pants and long sleeved bodysuit
For a timeless look, opt for a black long sleeve bodysuit with white trousers. With simple gold accessories, this combination automatically looks professional but requires very little effort to pull off. Add a pair of black heels, and this look can be adapted for a weekend date night too. The pants feature a chic but effortless cut, meaning you definitely won’t feel like you’re wearing work wear while you’re out for dinner.
